Course Description
Audit Sampling and Sampling Risk is a CPE webinar that will review SAS numbers 37, 39 and 42. This webinar will review the reporting responsibilities of an independent accountant and discuss subsequent event procedures. This webinar will provide guidance for planning, performing, and evaluating audit samples as provided by SAS No. 39. This webinar will review sampling risks in performing substantive tests of details and performing test of controls. Finally, this webinar will discuss reporting in a client-prepared document on condensed financial statements and selected financial data.
We provide a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to answer any questions you may have during this session. SMEs are available from 8am to 7:30pm Central Time. This course should only be taken during SME hours.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this webinar, students will be able to:
- Review SAS No. 37 and the reporting responsibilities of an independent accountant.
- Discuss subsequent event procedures in regards to SAS No. 37.
- Outline guidance for planning, performing, and evaluating audit samples as provided by SAS No. 39.
- Define sampling risks in performing substantive tests of details and test of controls.
- Review SAS No. 42 and guidance on reporting in a client-prepared document on condensed financial statements and selected financial data.
